“Supreme Threat: A Logan Alexander Thriller by T.L. Williams is a well-researched and detailed account of the differences between North and South Korea. The content is factual and there are several acronyms introducing intelligence agencies and their importance to national security. The plot is shrouded in half-truths, shadowy figures, and the dark specter of violence is ever-present. Logan Alexander, a descendant of patriots, a family man, who had served his country as a Navy SEAL in Afghanistan, was a CIA Operations Officer, whose skills included recruiting spies and producing intelligence. He is tasked with a new assignment and relocates to New Mexico to uncover the potential threat posed by the North Koreans. His suspicions are raised when he discovers that a newly appointed physicist has not disclosed the identity of his father. Even more alarming is the dangerous mysterious threat that looms, instigated by evil without a conscience. Time is running out and Logan needs his unique set of skills as well as the assistance of other intelligence operatives to unmask a disguised enemy.

“Supreme Threat by T.L. Williams places a spotlight on the dire consequences of the division of North and South Korea. The country which was split in two resulted in the separation of families, the trauma of citizens, the dramatic change in living conditions, a devastated North Korean economy, and a brainwashed society whose sole purpose is to obey and serve the supreme ruler. In some instances, the split led to the choice of some of the citizens to live double lives, motivated by a dream of unification but fearful of the megalomaniac, who rules with an iron fist. The author introduced me to a world veiled in mystery, lies, and suspense. The action is fast-paced, and the characters have several layers that are sporadically peeled away as the drama unfolds, leading to a suspense-filled and dramatic narrative. The main characters within the story slowly expose their secrets, lies, and double lives. Yet within their midst is one whom they trust, who seems to be on the right side of the law and is above suspicion. The book is very well researched and detailed, and the author narrates the story, taking us on a journey through North Korea and exposing its ugliness, cold brutality, impoverished, downtrodden, and malnourished citizens. Through the character of Jason Lee,  Williams highlights the ambivalence and helplessness of the outside world toward the people trapped within its borders.”
