As an expert in United Nations rescue capability evaluation, Qu talked about the emergency rescue of major natural disasters from the perspective of the international rescue system.

Speaking of improving capabilities of China’s national heavy and medium rescue teams, Qu suggested to follow international standards including equipping a large amount of rescue equipment and setting up search and rescue medical treatment, and logistics support systems. If the systems can be established quickly in disaster-hit areas, some new industries thereupon will be formed.
