New York, NY – Feb 19, 2020 – The authors of “Bohemian Manifesto: A Field Guide to Living on the Edge,” Laren Stover and Paul Himmelein announced today that they will hold a contest for the chance to win one of six curios straight from the pages of their recently re-released book. “Bohemian Manifesto” readers can enter the contest on Instagram between February 20 and March 31, 2020. Entries will be judged by two glamorous and notable Bohemians: Mx Justin Vivian Bond and Debi Mazar. Winners will be announced via Instagram post in April 2020 and will receive one of six unique prizes mentioned in the book: they range from a vintage opium pipe to a hand-painted Krishna figurine.

To enter, fans and readers of “Bohemian Manifesto” must first follow @bohemian_manifesto_book on Instagram and then share a photo of themselves with the new edition of the book, or a still life of the new edition illustrating their idea of bohemian splendor on Instagram between February 20 and March 31, 2020. Entries could include a still life of “Bohemian Manifesto” with mushrooms, a hedgehog or a typewriter. Or contestants can submit a self-portrait with the book in the studio or on the road – whatever shows off their Bohemian life. All entries must be tagged #Bohemianmanifesto and @bohemian_manifesto_book.

The six utterly bohemian prizes to be awarded in the contest all tie directly to the text of the new edition of “Bohemian Manifesto.” First prize is the vintage opium pipe seen on page 112; second prize is the silvery flea-market teapot seen on page 115; third prize is the JACK perfumed candle by Oscar-nominated actor and dandy nose Richard E. Grant from page 74; fourth prize is the vintage folkloric oil lamp mentioned on page 118; fifth prize is an antique fish-shaped snuff bottle, described as a Dandy Bohemian must-have; and sixth prize is the hand-painted Krishna referred to on page 158.
